I use this stove in my 12X16 shed. It works great and heats the place up well. I am in northern MN and it can be -25 outside this stove will keep my shed 50+. For my large space a little larger wood box would be nice to get longer burns but it is easy enough to throw more wood in. I start with pine and move to oak as the fire gets going this helps give me longer burn times. I would recommend this stove to anyone with under 200 sq ft to heat would be great in a fish house.

I use this stove to heat a 8×12 shed at my sawmill in Alaska. It works well to give me a place to warm up and dry my gloves or jackets. It requires stoking every hour or more often when burning softwoods.

I don’t normally do reviews but after the long debate on this I felt maybe I could help out the next person. I bought a Nuway wood stove for my 6×6 box blind, I live in central Michigan. I debated on this for months, I have an unlimited supply of wood but I was worried about the smell spooking the deer. I read multiple pages and asked several people the opinions on the smell of wood smoke and pretty much got a 50 50 answer. So I decided to do it and I’m glad I did. My blind sits approximately 45 yards from my food plot and feeder, with the stove running I have deer multiple times daily come in and they don’t even seem to notice. The beauty of it all is my windows no longer fog, it doesn’t generate much smoke and in a 6x6x7 blind the outside temp is 31 and inside the blind it’s 72. I bought the venting kit as well and had to add one section of 2″ pipe to get it vented the proper height above my roof but that’s a small price to pay for how well this things performs. If your debating it like I was go for it you won’t regret it. I hunt almost daily the whole season all the way till the end of muzzleloader and 1 face cord lasted the whole season. The hardest part is you have to remember to cut the pieces short to fit the stove.

I live in Colorado, and it’s often 0 to 20 degrees outside with snow. My shed is 13 x 10, and I use the Model 965 every night. It heats the place up to 70 degrees in 20 minutes. I have two or three boxes of precut wood, 1×1’s, 2×4’s, 1×3’s, a box of old newspapers, and a bottle of Squeez’N Light, and in minutes I have a full blow fire going. The workmanship of this stove is the highest quality. The lower compartment provide easy access to the ashes, and clean up. Some other stoves do not draft properly, and the fire goes out ….. the 965 is made RIGHT and keeps the fire going!! Just toss in a few pieces every 10 to 15 minutes and heat your shed, work shop, garage, heck—even your living room, it works!!!! Jerry in Colorado Springs w0wow
